THE SACRAMENT OF
CONFIRMATION
This sacrament is an ancient tradition originating from the "laying on of hands" found in the Acts of the Apostles. The Sacrament of Confirmation enables the faithful to be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, strengthening them in their Christian life. The candidate also takes on the name of a Saint. This Saint then becomes a model or inspiration in faith for the candidate.
WHEN IS
CONFIRMATION HELD?
Confirmation is held once a year, usually in September, for primary school students and at Easter for adults participating in the adult faith formation program.
For Children
Parents are asked to register their child via the QKR App, available on iPhones and Android phones.

For Teenagers and Adults
For teenagers and adults who have not been confirmed and would like to, please contact the parish office to join the adult faith formation program or email the parish priest: tony.percy@cg.org.au
CONFIRMATION SPONSOR
Children making their confirmation are to choose a sponsor.
The sponsor must be confirmed in the Catholic Church, and a committed and practising member of the Catholic Faith. The sponsor pledges to promote and sustain the development of the child's faith.
